Fast Five Friday: Favorite TV Shows

It's time for another Fast Five Friday! This blog hop was created by the ladies over at Cover Girls. This week they've asked us to share our five favorite TV shows. This was soooooooo much harder than I thought! Especially when I thought about opening it up to every TV show I've ever watched (Buffy please!) but then I was being ridiculous. So I figured I would limit myself to shows that are either on right now or will return at some point. Still not easy, so I added the much necessary question: is this a show where I will bite someone's head off if they talk during it? And then it was much, much easier.

1. Criminal Minds (CBS)
2. Looking (HBO)
3. American Horror Story (FX)
4. Doctor Who (BBC)
5. Game of Thrones (HBO)

Because I'm lazy I just stole the main pictures from IMDb :P (But I know that CM one is totally from season 5! So old!).

What are some of your favorite TV shows?

  1. Criminal Minds is one of my favorites, though I must admit that I fast forward through some of the more violent scenes. I liked that episode where they had Ben Savage play a young Gideon, because he looked JUST like Mandy Patinkin! I haven't seen the other shows on your list, though; I've heard a lot about Game of Thrones but I don't have HBO.
I like other crime dramas in addition to Criminal Minds, like NCIS, Blue Bloods, Law and Order (especially the British spinoff, Law and Order: UK, because it's interesting how they often take a different spin on the American storylines), and I LOVE Elementary. I know everyone loves Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch, and I do too, but I think Jonny Lee Miller makes an excellent Sherlock too.

    1. I loved that episode, too, except for the fact that I found it a little strange to kill off a character who's been gone for 7 seasons. It didn't feel as emotional as it should have been.
I like a few other crime dramas, Law & Order: SVU, especially.

  2. These are great shows.. I've heard a lot about Looking but have never actually seen it. My dad watches Doctor Who and I have watched the others. My favorite Horror Story was Coven.

  4. I lost track of American Horror story I'm afraid.
Favorites now include Flash, Better Call Saul, Face Off, The Goldbergs, and Agent Carter. (Which sadly just ended this week...)

    1. The good thing about AHS is that every season is different so you could jump in again very easily! I'm loving Better Call Saul so far. I didn't think it would be as good as it is.

  5. Dammit! I forgot about American Horror Story - it's probably because it's not on TV in the UK at the moment and I've seen all the episodes that are available on Netflix UK. I only included shows that are on TV in my FFF - if I'd included online I'd still be trying to narrow them down :)

  6. I love Criminal Minds so much. (I want Garcia with Morgan but... alas.)

My brothers told me the first season of American Horror Story wasn't really that great. I've been wanting to watch Coven because the stories are different, anyway, but I haven't.

  7. Love Game of Thrones. But I never watch in real time. I prefer to wait until I can get the whole season...then I only have to deal with one cliff hanger!

  8. I love Criminal Minds! I also can't miss NCIS and Big Bang Theory...sometimes I just have to spend thirty minutes laughing! Sheldon Cooper is a riot :)

  9. I've not seen any of these shows though I really need to catch up on Dr. Who someday. I don't guess I could come up with 5 shows that I watch regularly. I enjoy The Flash and The 100 but that's mostly it other than watching Resurrection when I remember to.
